    The Memphis Tour

Near Saqqara is the well-known Djoser's Step Pyramid. It was built during the Third Dynasty, which lasted from 2667 to 2448 BC, making it the oldest important stone structure. This construction exhibits a significant architectural innovation that is also used by all of the other pyramids from the fourth and later dynasties, including the Giza Pyramids. Djoser also used mastabas, rectangular tombs, to construct the first step pyramid.

The lesser pyramids from the 5th and 6th dynasties at Saqqara, Dahshur, and Abu Sir, as well as the smooth sides of the Giza Pyramids, are all examples of this architectural style.

From the Saqqara Complex, a private vehicle will take you to the marble statue of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Ramses in Egypt.
