Friday- Check in

Meet our local tour guide and driver at the station to begin your day tour of this tranquil city. The Aswan Day Tour departs from the Train Station and heads south, passing through the Old Aswan Dam; which is now a West Bank bridge. Our tour guide will take you to the Turbines, Nasser Lake, and provide you with a comprehensive history of The High Dam's development in the twentieth century.
You'll be transported from High Dam to the Nubian Port, where you'll board a Nile Taxi to Isis Island; where you'll learn about Isis' love for God Osiris, how jealousy drove Osiris' brother "Set" to murder him, and how Horus, the son of Isis and Osiris; avenged his father by killing his uncle Set, later known as God of Evil.

Visit the Aswan Northern Red Granite Quarry for a tour of The Unfinished Obelisk, a 3500-year-old single piece of red granite weighing over 1200 tones supposed to stand in Karnak Temple 250 kilometers from Aswan but were accidentally cracked while being worked on; it also leaves us with some evidence on how Ancient Egyptians cut massive blocks of hard stones and transported them from the quarries to the Nile River.

After a 3-hour trip south of Aswan, arrive in Abu Simbel City. Where our Egyptologist Tour Guide will take you on a 2-hour tour of Ramses 2nd's Temple and his favorite wife Nefertari's Temple. The two temples were built on Nubia's land to demonstrate King Ramses' total sovereignty over the region and elevate him to the status of God. The Sun Rays reach the King's face on his birthday. Return to the Nile and cruise to Luxor by horse carriage; pausing at Esna Lock for an unforgettable Nile Lock crossing experience.
