Jordan country had passed many eras in history after the prehistorical era. From 3000 BC to 500 BC it was the Bronze and Iron Ages. Later on, the Nabataean Kingdom Era from 400 BC to 100 AD. At this time Petra was the capital of Jordan. From 106 AD to almost 400 AD the Romans occupied the area and it was the Roman Era. After the, the Byzantine ruled Jordan from 400 to 636 AD, when the Muslim came. Since then, Jordan was and still a Muslim country.

Modern History of Jordan

After the First World War 1921, the British established the New Jordan and they coronated prince Abdullah the first on the country of Jordan. Until 1946 when Jordanians gained their full independence from the British and they started the Hashemite Kingdom. The King now is the one of the Hashemite descendants and the son of King Hussein. He is King Abdullah the second.
