Your guides will lead you to the temple's entrance, which is guarded by four enormous Ramsis II sculptures that are tucked away beneath a huge mountain. Without a doubt, the temple was carved out of rock.

Ramses II frightened his foes when the sun passed the temple twice a year. He emphasised the beauty of post-civilization Egypt.
