Everyone is aware of the fact that Egypt is one of the world’s oldest civilizations and long-lived antiquity. The history and culture of this place have existed for thousands of years. 

Egyptian culture started with Pharaonic civilization and later progressed through Christianity and Islam. Its numerous achievements, preserved art, and structures reveal the mysteries in the world of archaeological discoveries.

The enormous monuments that commemorated the monarchs’ victories of the gods are what made the region famous today. Many people believed Egypt to be obsessed with death, but according to Egyptologists, the Egypt culture is life-affirming:

The region showed many technological advancements at the beginning of its civilization period. They are responsible for everything from inventing the Papyrus to building ramps and levers alongside geometry. 

Moreover, their involvement has also been witnessed in advancing mathematics, astronomy, irrigation, agriculture, shipbuilding, aerodynamics, and medicine. But that’s not it !! 

They are behind the invention of toothpaste, toothbrushes, breath mints, perfumes, and cosmetics. While coming to religion, it plays a vital role in the life of the Egyptians until date. 

It is known that around 80.02 million of the population in Egypt are Muslims (predominantly Sunni Muslim), followed by Christians and a tiny population of Jewish currently. (Source).  

Islam permeates all parts of the daily life of the Egyptians. Besides that, the Egyptian culture shows the importance of hospitality, especially to guests, which they cannot ignore. 

The customary welcome in Egyptian culture includes shaking hands, where a male visitor waits for a woman to extend her hand first. Talking about clothing, Women should always wear conservative clothes that cover their upper arms and legs. 

This is much required while visiting religious institutions and conservative areas. On the other hand, Modern nightclubs, restaurants, hotels, bars, and other tourist areas have more liberal dress codes. The culture of Egypt has made smoking very common.
